Posted by KingEclient on 12 September, 2013

King-eClient has been involved in international projects for more than 5 years. In this post we would like to give an account of our experiences working for the European Union.

European Year of Volunteering 2011

King-eClient started its association with the European Union in 2010 when it conceptualized designed and carried out the Drupal programming for the website promoting the European Year of Volunteering 2011. This website provided information on volunteering and encouraged citizens to participate as volunteers in a number of different activities.

Group of the Progressive Alliance of Socialists and Democrats in the European Parliament

Following the success of the first project we felt encouraged to continue to pursue work with Brussels. In the end this bore fruit and we won the public tender to develop the website of the Group of the Progressive Alliance of Socialists and Democrats in the European Parliament. For this, we carried out the conceptualization, design, prototype and Drupal programming of the site, which had the following objectives:

  • To make the site more approachable to citizens with content that is more accessible and easier to understand.
  • To enable Europeans to get involved in matters of common interest.
  • To publicize members of the European Parliament.

The web-site was launched in early summer and is a great success.
