Latest digital news at MWC 2019

Posted by KingEclient on 5 March, 2019

As you may know from our most recent blog post, we attended the Mobile World Congress 2019 last week. For the KingEclient team, it is very important to be updated on the latest news of the technological and digital world in order to always offer our services as innovative as possible.

Today, we want to tell you all about the news from the biggest mobile show of the year. Apart from the most expected smartphones on the market, the MWC also presented the latest news about Artificial Intelligence and Mobility, among others.

We were able to see what the big technological industries have been up to. Sony presented their new Sony Xperia 1, an ideal smartphone to take pictures, thanks to its triple camera and some professional apps that are integrated in it. It is the world’s first 4K HDR OLED display for mobile, bringing you closer to movies, music and games and giving you a unique experience. We don’t know when it’s going to be in the market yet, so we will have to wait a bit more!

Samsung’s new smartphone Galaxy S10 was one of the biggest stars. Apart from its 5G technology, it has a Wireless Power Share system that allows you to charge any other device, as well as a bigger battery that can be optimized by Bixby, Samsung’s virtual assistant.

Huawei’s foldable smartphone was also a must-see. Presented as the first foldable phone with 5G, the Mate X is fascinating, using one folding screen instead of two. When it is closed, its width is only 11 millimeters. Amazing, right?

LG presented two new devices. Their new G8 ThinQ can be controlled through gestures, thanks to its Touchless Control. The user is able to answer calls, play music, adjust volume, take a screenshot and block alarms only using the palm of their hand, which is detected by the camera sensor. We love it!

Apart from the greatest smartphones, the Mobile World Congress 2019 offered much more than that. SEAT showed their new concept car Minimó, a 100% electric vehicle with incorporated 5G technology created to be adapted in the mobility platforms of the future. They also presented their partnership with IBM in order to make the planning of routes much easier.

Robots were also protagonists. Temi introduced their ‘personal robots’ with incorporated artificial intelligence. According to temi’s CEO, Yossi Wolf, ‘robots will drastically transform the way we do business and connect with our loved ones from the other side of the world’.

Last but not least, Microsoft presented their newest HoloLens 2, with a brand-new hardware. Their field of view is much bigger and eye-tracking is also incorporated. As for their instinctive interaction, it is possible to manipulate objects directly and use voice commands to move the objects closer.

With these examples we can see that digital technology is definitely changing the way we do things in our daily life. We are looking forward to seeing what’s ahead in the digital world!
